Get moving with RunCzech

The RunCzech Running League

RunCzech is a year-round programme offering different distances and disciplines for runners of all fitness levels. With three main running events in Prague, the SPORTISIMO PRAGUE HALF MARATHON, the VOLKSWAGEN PRAGUE MARATHON, and the BIRELL PRAGUE GRAND PRIX, the complete running circuit includes seven main races in the Czech Republic certified by IAAF and AIMS. 74 585 runners from 108 countries took part in RunCzech events in 2015. The expansion to the regions of the Czech Republic started in the picturesque northern city of Olomouc with the MATTONI OLOMOUC HALF MARATHON in 2010, and continued in September 2011 with the MATTONI ÚSTÍ NAD LABEM HALF MARATHON, which featured a unique route leading partially through the local chemical factory. The southern part of the Czech Republic also has its own race, the MATTONI ČESKÉ BUDĚJOVICE HALF MARATHON, which joined the series and took place for the first time in 2012. The MATTONI KARLOVY VARY HALF MARATHON joined the RunCzech league in 2013.

To skyrocket your ranking you may want to participate in one of the RunCzech guest races of the year. Guest Race is an international long distance race that partners with RunCzech for one year, giving runners a chance to participate in some of the most exciting races in the world. In 2013 it was the oldest marathon in Europe - Košice Peace Marathon, the iconic TCS New York City Marathon in 2014, Beijing Marathon in 2015, Berlin Marathon in 2016 and Valencia Marathon in 2017!

The runners are awarded points for each completed race. The ranking system will be determined by gender, occupation (in 68 categories), and IAAF age groups.
